About Alan 

Alan Bernau, owner of Alan's Factory Outlet has been in business for over 20 years. Alan moved from Florida to the Amish Country of Southern Maryland in 1977 and began a career in real estate. Through his real estate dealings, he eventually came in contact with several Amish groups while trying to sell parcels of land.

Alan quickly became known for his sincere personality and excellent salesmanship throughout the tri-county area of Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties. It was not long before several Amish shed manufacturers were asking him to sell their products.

Since then, he has been associated with the Amish and Mennonite in various capacities. Alan is very fond of their simple yet very traditional lifestyle. Alan feels very fortunate to be able to work with and share the wonderful talents and quality craftsmanship of the Amish and Mennonite people. His sales boast 10,000 happy customers in Southern Maryland.
